I <br /> 07 June 2000 <br /> IAGE-NC Project No 99-0657 <br /> Page 7 of 7 <br /> - MTBE was detected by EPA Method 8260 in soil collected at a depth of 25 feet bsg in the <br /> area of the former USTs <br /> - The highest concentration of dissolved hydrocarbons quantified as TPH-g, TPH-d, MTBE <br /> and generally BTEX compounds extends southward from the former USTs Dissolved <br /> hydrocarbons were encountered in the presumed down-gradient direction from the former <br /> USTs to the location of monitoring well MW4 TPH-g, TPH-d, and BTEX concentrations <br /> in ground water decrease eastward in the area of well MW3 <br /> - The ground water in the area enclosed by MW1, MW2 and MW4 is impacted by EDB <br /> The ground water in the area enclosed by MW1 through MW4 is impacted by 1,2 DCA <br /> I - The lateral and vertical extent of petroleum hydrocarbon impacted soil has not been defined <br /> 40 The lateral extent of petroleum hydrocarbon impacted ground water has not been defined <br /> I <br /> 5.0. RECOMMENDATIONS <br /> Based on the findings of this investigation, AGE recommends <br /> 10 Continued quarterly monitoring of the ground water monitoring wells The next monitoring <br /> event should be performed in July 2000 <br /> I - Additional monitoring wells be installed in all directions to further assess the lateral and <br /> vertical extent of petroleum hydrocarbon impacted soil and ground water <br /> I <br /> I6.0.
