Wm. J. Hunter & Associates 2220 roma Vista Dr.
Fig2istered Geologists Sacramento, CA 95825
leum& Mineral Appraisers (916) 972-7941
FAX (916) 972-1683
ADDENDUM TO PAR & WORKPLAN FOR
SOIL/GROUNDWATER INVESTIGATION
1211 SOUTH TURNPIKE ROAD, STOCKTON, CA
SITE CODE 1788
Prepared for
San Joaquin County Public Health Service
Environmental Health Divison
by
Wm. J. Hunter & Associates
February, 1995
Addendum dated April 3 , 1995
PU
The workplan submitted by Wm. J. Hunter & Associates , dated
February 15, 1995, proposed placing one ( 1 ) soil boring in the
center of the site of the removed UST, and converting it to a
groundwater monitoring well . Correspondence from the San Joaquin
County PHS, Environmental Health division, dated March 8 , 1995 ,
stated that the workplan did not allow sufficient assessment of
the problem, and required that an amended plan be submitted
The following revised workplan is being submitted for approval to
comply with that requirement.
R VISERNORKPLAN FOR SOIL/MOUNPWATER INVESTIGATION
Because of serious space constraints, excavation of additional
soil is not considered feasible, & mobilization of an auger rig
will be extremely difficult. Utilizing the Leaching Potential
Analysis worksheet for gasoline, (Table 2-1 from the LOFT
Manual , ) the levels of contamination measured in the soil sample
taken from beneath the tank site exceed those allowable to left
in place. Therefore, we are proposing to place three (3) soil
borings as shown on the attached revised PLATE V. Each soil
boring will be advanced to groundwater, estimated to be at about
50' bgl at this location; they will then be deepened to at least
10 ' below the water table in order to complete as a monitoring
well The actual locations may vary somewhat from the ones shown
on the site map; final locations will be determined by a licensed
surveyor after placement
All field activities will be under the direction of a geologist
from Wm. J . Hunter & Associates . A general health & safety plan
has been furnished with the original workplan.
REVISED
1 . Mobilize MDE Corp. auger rig equipped with sufficient clean
1
