This work plan was
submitted in response t i EHD's letter dated May 10, 2007, directing the two proposed temporary
observation wells have I ie same construction as extraction well EW-1 with screening intervals from
15 to 35 feet below gri Pund surface (bgs) and be developed prior to conducting the groundwater
pumping test.
In this work plan,AGE 1 roposes to replace the two proposed observation wells with one groundwater
extraction well (EX-2) ocated approximately fifteen feet northeast of EX-1. During a telephone
conversation between I HD and AGE on July 13, 2007, AGE explained the need for another
monitoring well/extractii in well at the proposed location that could also serve as an observation well.
The proposed well will I c screened between 15 and 35 feet bgs with a four-inch casing. Soil samples
will be collected at fiv foot intervals, beginning at five feet bsg, and selected soil samples will be
analyzed for total pett Aeurn hydrocarbons quantified as gasoline (TPH-g); benzene, toluene,
ethylbenzene, and total ylenes (BTEX); methyl tertiary-butyl ether (MTBE), ethyl tertiary-butyl
ether (ETBE), tertiary-a riyl methyl ether (TAME), di-isopropyl ether (DIPE), tertiary-butyl alcohol
(TBA), 1,2-dibromoetha a(EDB), and 1,2-dichloroethane(1,2-DCA).
EHD approves the wok plan as submitted.
