30 September 1996
. AGE-NC Protect No. 94-0141
respectively TPH-g, BTEX and MTBE constituents were not detected in the sample collected at
well MW-5 on 04 September 1996
CONCLUSIONS
Based upon the results of ground water sampling in February and September 1996, AGE has the
following conclusions
• The ground water surface is approximately 2 to 3 feet above the slotted screened intervals in
wells MW-1 through MW-5 Therefore, samples collected from these wells may not be
representative of ground water conditions at the site
• It appears that concentrations of TPH-g and BTEX in MW-4 and MW-5 fluctuate with the
change in ground water elevation Therefore, no trend can be determined from the data
• Petroleum hydrocarbon odors were noted while purging MW-5, however, petroleum
hydrocarbon constituents were not detected in the laboratory analysis Further review of the
sample's chromatogram suggested that TPH-g and BTEX were detected in the sample
analyzed, but under the reporting limits
RECOMIIIENDATIONS
Based upon data collected during the February and September 1996 sampling events, AGE has the
following recommendations
• Additional ground water monitoring and sampling should be performed at the site in
December 1996
Upon your approval, we will transmit copies of the report to Mr Harlin Knoll of the San Joaquin
County Public Health Services - Environmental Health Division (PHS-EHD)
If you have any questions or require further information, please contact our office at (209) 956-0264
