Quarterly Report - Third Quarter 2003 <br /> COMFORT AIR,INC <br />' 1607 Turnpike Road, Stockton, California <br />' 1.0. INTRODUCTION <br /> At the request of Mr Greg Gaut, Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE) has prepared this <br /> quarterly report of environmental activities conducted at Comfort Air, Inc , 1607 Turnpike Road, <br /> Stockton, California(site) The scope of work included a quarterly ground water monitoring event <br /> and preparation of this report The objective of the work was to monitor dissolved petroleum <br />' hydrocarbon concentrations in ground water and to characterize ground water flow direction and <br /> gradient on the site The location of the site is illustrated in Figure 1 A plan of the site is Illustrated <br /> in Figure 2 <br /> 1 This report is prepared to accordance with guidelines issued by the Central Valley Regional Water <br /> • Quality Control Board(CVRWQCB) for investigation of underground storage tank(UST) sites A <br />' summary of previous investigations at the site was included in the AGE-prepared Quarterly Report- <br /> February 1997,dated 18 Apnl 1997,and Monitoring Well Installation Work Plan-July 1998, dated <br /> 23 July 1998 A summary of environmental assessment activities is Included in Appendix A <br />' Historical ground water monitoring results are summarized on Tables 1 through 3 <br />' . 2.0. PROCEDURES <br /> Field activities were performed in accordance with guidelines for investigation of underground <br /> t storage tank(UST) sites and sampling ground water monitoring wells issued by the Central Valley <br /> Regional Water Quality Control Board(CVRWQCB)and by the San Joaquin County Environmental <br /> Health Department (EHD), respectively <br /> • 2 1 QUARTERLY WELL MONITORING <br /> ' On 24 September 2003, the third quarter ground water monitoring event was conducted at the site <br /> A total of fifteen wells were monitored and sampled <br /> 2 1 1 Well Monitoring and Evacuation <br /> ' A Solznst water level meter was used to measure the depth to ground water in wells MW-3,MW-5, <br /> MW-6, MW-7, MW-8A/B through MW-12AB and EX-1 relative to the tops of the well casings <br /> ' (Table 1) After the depth-to-ground-water measurements, a minimum of 3 casing-water volumes <br /> of water was purged from each well using dedicated, disposable plastic bailers for wells MW-7 and <br /> MW-8A through MW-I 2 and a Watera Hydro-Lift IT pump for the remaining wells Approximately <br /> ' 4 to 13 5 gallons of water were removed from wells MW-3, MW-5, MW-6, MW-7 and MW-8A <br /> through MW-12A, approximately 20 to 21 gallons of water were removed from wells MW-8B <br /> through MW-12B and 43 gallons were removed from well EX-1 <br /> ' Advanced Geo Environmental,Inc <br />
