09 April 2002 <br /> AGE-NC Project No 95-0141 <br /> Page 7of13 <br /> I monitoring well MW-6) The boring will be completed as a ground water extraction well (EW-1) <br /> with four-inch diameter screened casing Due to the close proximity of previous borings, soil <br /> samples will not be collected during advancement of the proposed extraction well pilot boring The <br /> proposed extraction well location is illustrated on Figure 2 A generalized ground water extraction <br /> well design is illustrated on Figure 10 <br /> 3 5 WELL DEVELOPMENT AND SURVEY <br /> Following installation, each well will be developed to maximize water flow and minimize the <br /> amount of fine-grained sediment drawn into the well during pumping or bailing After development, <br /> the top of each well casing (well head) will be surveyed to determine its elevation relative to mean <br /> sea level Procedures for well installation, development and survey are presented in Sections 4 3 and <br /> 4 4 , respectively <br /> 3 6 GROUND WATER SAMPLE COLLECTION AND ANALYSIS <br /> Ground water monitoring and sampling events for each newly installed ground water monitoring <br /> well will be conducted on a quarterly basis until CVRWQCB approval or direction to do otherwise <br /> Ground water monitoring will include recording depth to ground water measurements, properly <br /> purging ground water monitoring wells and collection of ground water samples Ground water <br /> sample collection procedures are described in the AGE-prepared, EHD-approved Monitoring Well <br /> Installation Work Plan, dated 24 March 2000 <br /> Ground water samples will be analyzed by a DHS-certified laboratory for the following constituents <br /> • TPH-g by EPA Method 8015 Modified/5030, <br /> • BTEX, TBA, DIPE, ETBE and TAME, and MTBE by EPA Method 8260B, and <br /> • EDB and 1,2-DCA by EPA Method 8260B <br /> Laboratory reports for ground water analyses,testing methods, laboratory quality assurance/quality <br /> control(QA/QC) reports, and sample chain of custody documentation will be presented in a report <br /> Iwith the findings and recommendations <br /> • <br /> 4dvanced GeoEnvironntenlal,Inc <br />
