S0 JOA U 1 Environmental Health Department <br /> U ; i y <br /> Small Quantity Hazardous Waste Generator Inspection Report <br /> Facility Name: Facility Address: Date: <br /> Walgreens#13984 1 1528 E Fremont St, Stockton June 10, 2020 <br /> SUMMARY OF VIOLATIONS <br /> (CLASS I,CLASS II,or MINOR-Notice to Comply) <br /> Item# Remarks <br /> 106 CCR 66262.34(d)(2) Failed to train employees on waste handling and emergency procedures. <br /> OBSERVATION: At the time of inspection, it could not be demonstrated (not necessarily documented)that <br /> employees who handle hazardous waste were properly trained, based on the following observations: <br /> 1.An 8 fl. oz. bottle of Sanzi Derm Hand Sanitizer with 72%alcohol was found inside the Toxic Hazardous Waste <br /> container.When Jesus Robles, the store manager, scanned the hand sanitizer barcode,the scanner stated the <br /> "item must be disposed of using the Poster/Job Aid.The Poster/Job Aid could not be immediately found. <br /> According to Taylor Salinas,the assistant store manager, the hand sanitizer should have been placed inside the <br /> Ignitable Hazardous Waste container. Jesus placed the sanitizer into the Ignitable Hazardous Waste container. <br /> Later during the inspection, Taylor provided a copy of the Poster/Job Aid or Hazardous Material Management <br /> document that indicates alcohol is classified as ignitable. <br /> 2. See violation 605. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: The business owner must ensure that all employees are thoroughly familiar with <br /> proper waste handling and emergency procedures, relevant to their responsibilities during normal facility operations <br /> and emergencies. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately train/re-train the employees.
