STATE OF CALIFORNIA GEORGE DEUKMEJIAN,Governor
CALIFORNIA REGIONAL WATER QUALITY CONTROL BOARD—
CENTRAL VALLEY REGION
3443 ROUTIER ROAD
SACRAMENTO,CA 95827-3098
APR
I NIVIRONMCI ..F
F'ERf'lT
27 April 1990
Mr. Richard Larrouy, Associate Planner
San Joaquin County Planning Division
1810 East Hazelton Avenue
Stockton, CA 95205
APPL ICA TION REFERRAL, GP-90-4/TA-89-16 (SCIN 89100208), GENERAL PLAN TEXT
AMENONENT, CREATION OF ONE-AIME LOTS IN AREAS ZONED RR-44, SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY
We have reviewed the subject Application Referral , dated 16 March 1990. If
approved, this amendment would allow, in areas zoned RR-44, the minimum parcel
size using septic systems to be reduced from 65,000 sq, ft. to 44,000 sq, ft.
Because of potentially high nitrate concentrations in the ground water from a
higher density of septic systems, any approval made by San Joaquin County
Public Health Services at a density greater than one unit per acre (43,560 sq.
ft. ) must be supported by a rationale that demonstrates that the ground water
will be protected. As long as San Joaquin County Public Health Services
requires and approves the rationale, we have no objections to the proposed
amendments.
If you have any qu stions, please call me at (916) 361-5670.
ANTgNN); K.
