FY <br /> CHAPTER 2. SEWAGE DISPOSAL <br /> SECTION 9-10100 . STANDARD PROVISIONS. The following standard <br /> provisions shall apply to all development requiring facilities for <br /> sewage disposal, unless otherwise specified in this Title . <br /> (a ) Compliance with Health District and Public Works <br /> Requirements . When connection to an existing public sewage <br /> disposal system or the creation of a new system is not <br /> required by the County, the sewage disposal facilities shall <br /> comply with the requirements of the San Joaquin Local Health <br /> District and the County Public Works Department; <br /> (b) Written Confirmation for Building Permits. The application <br /> for a building permit shall be accompanied by written confir- <br /> mation from the San Joaquin Local Health District and the <br /> County Public Works Department; <br /> (c ) Suitability of an Area for Septic Tank Usage. In order for <br /> the County to determine the suitability of an area proposed <br /> for septic tank usage, the applicant shall provide infor- <br /> mation concerning all of the following : <br /> ( 1 ) The intensity and extent of the existing and the proposed <br /> development on septic tanks within and around the area ; <br /> (2 ) The suitability of the soil for development utilizing <br /> septic systems; <br /> ( 3 ) The depth and gradient of the water table; <br /> ( 4 ) The history of past uses in the project area to assess <br /> potential problems; <br /> ( 5 ) Other information as required by the San Joaquin Local <br /> Health District to determine the cumulative effect of the <br /> existing and the proposed development on ground water <br /> contamination. <br /> Source: Ordinance No . 3323 . <br /> SECTION 9-10101. SEWAGE DISPOSAL SERVICES AND FACILITIES FOR <br /> SPECIFIC GEOGRAPHICAL AREAS. The provision of sewage disposal faci- <br /> lities , as identified below by specific geographical areas, shall be <br /> required for approval of all Major or Minor Subdivisions and may be <br /> required for other discretionary applications for development by the <br /> review authority: <br /> (a ) Urban Center with Incorporated Area. Sewage disposal shall <br /> be by a wastewater treatment plant provided by an existing <br /> agency; <br /> (b) Unincorporated Urban Center. Sewage disposal shall be by a <br /> wastewater treatment plant provided by an existing agency, or <br /> by a new district formed in accordance with Section 9-10004 <br /> if no agency within the Unincorporated Urban Center is <br /> empowered to provide wastewater treatment; <br /> (c ) Rural Center . Sewage disposal shall be by a wastewater <br /> treatment plant provided by an existing agency, or by a new <br /> district formed in accordance with Section 9-10004 if no <br /> agency within the Rural Center is empowered to provide <br /> 10 .6 (Revised 6/11/87 ) <br />
