FY CHAPTER 2. SEWAGE DISPOSAL SECTION 9-10100 . STANDARD PROVISIONS. The following standard provisions shall apply to all development requiring facilities for sewage disposal, unless otherwise specified in this Title . (a ) Compliance with Health District and Public Works Requirements . When connection to an existing public sewage disposal system or the creation of a new system is not required by the County, the sewage disposal facilities shall comply with the requirements of the San Joaquin Local Health District and the County Public Works Department; (b) Written Confirmation for Building Permits. The application for a building permit shall be accompanied by written confir- mation from the San Joaquin Local Health District and the County Public Works Department; (c ) Suitability of an Area for Septic Tank Usage. In order for the County to determine the suitability of an area proposed for septic tank usage, the applicant shall provide infor- mation concerning all of the following : ( 1 ) The intensity and extent of the existing and the proposed development on septic tanks within and around the area ; (2 ) The suitability of the soil for development utilizing septic systems; ( 3 ) The depth and gradient of the water table; ( 4 ) The history of past uses in the project area to assess potential problems; ( 5 ) Other information as required by the San Joaquin Local Health District to determine the cumulative effect of the existing and the proposed development on ground water contamination. Source: Ordinance No . 3323 . SECTION 9-10101. SEWAGE DISPOSAL SERVICES AND FACILITIES FOR SPECIFIC GEOGRAPHICAL AREAS. The provision of sewage disposal faci- lities , as identified below by specific geographical areas, shall be required for approval of all Major or Minor Subdivisions and may be required for other discretionary applications for development by the review authority: (a ) Urban Center with Incorporated Area. Sewage disposal shall be by a wastewater treatment plant provided by an existing agency; (b) Unincorporated Urban Center. Sewage disposal shall be by a wastewater treatment plant provided by an existing agency, or by a new district formed in accordance with Section 9-10004 if no agency within the Unincorporated Urban Center is empowered to provide wastewater treatment; (c ) Rural Center . Sewage disposal shall be by a wastewater treatment plant provided by an existing agency, or by a new district formed in accordance with Section 9-10004 if no agency within the Rural Center is empowered to provide 10 .6 (Revised 6/11/87 )
