The well survey may also include AT&T's two existing site wells, and the Mainland <br /> Nursery's well nearest to the former tank excavation (Figure 2). <br /> Task 9.Sawiple Monitoring Wells-ESE will sample ground water from the three monitoring <br /> wells installed for this investigation. Well saml ging procedures will follow ESE Standard <br /> Operations Procedures(Attachment B).Prior to sampling the wells,ESE will measure and <br /> record depth to water in each monitoring well. Ground-water level measurements may also <br /> include the AT&T and nursery wells. <br /> Task 10.Analyze Ground Water Samples for Petroleum Hydrocarbons-ESE will submit six <br /> ground-water samples for analysis, two from each monitoring well. The samples will be <br /> - analyzed for TPH-d, prepared by sonnication extraction (Preparation No. 3510) and <br /> analyzed by GCFID;and for BTXE,prepared by purge extraction(Preparation No.5030)- <br /> -EPA Method 602• The ground-water samples will be submitted to a Califemia-certified <br /> analytical laboratory under proper Chain-of-Custody protocol. The contract laboratory will <br /> - provide analysis results with detection limits of 50 micrograms per liter(ug/L, or parts per <br /> billion - ppb) as required by the Regional Board (1989). <br /> Task 11. Prepare a Report of Investigations-ESE will prepare a preliminary report <br /> de:.cribing the results of site investigations. The report will be prepared to comply with the <br /> minimum reporting requirements outlined in the Regional Board Recommendations for <br /> Initial Evaluation and Investigation of Underground Tanks (Regional Board, 1989). <br /> 3.0 QUALITY Ad:SURAINCE AND CONTROL <br /> ESE will implement a project Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) program <br /> designed to maintain the ;ntegrity of the sampling program and produce results that are <br /> 8 <br />
