CRITERIA <br /> 1. Sites known to contain hazards which: <br /> a. Require the highest level of respiratory protection <br /> (as previously stated) , <br /> b. Will cause illness as a result of personal exposure <br /> c. permit a reasonable determination that p <br /> exposure to areas of the body not covered by Level B <br /> protective clothing is unlikely; and <br /> 2. Sites for which the project Manager and/or Site Safety <br /> officer make a reasonable determination that,ite may be <br /> the lack of information to the contrary, the <br /> described as previously stated. <br /> E;RSONAL PROTECTIVE E4IIIPMENT—ix purifying respirator (high- <br /> 1. Full face-piece, <br /> efficiency particulate/organic vapor cartridges) ; <br /> 2. Emergency escape oxygen pack (carried) ; <br /> 3. Chemical protective (Tyvek® is the minimum protection) <br /> a. overalls and long-sleeved jacket, or <br /> _ b. Coveralls, or <br /> c. Apron; <br /> 4. Gloves, inner (surgical type) (Latex) ; <br /> S. Gloves, outer, chemical protective (Nitrile) ; <br /> g. Boots, chemical <br /> l protective (neoprene or NBR) , <br /> steel <br /> 7. Coveralls, cotton; <br /> 2. Boots/shoes, safety; <br /> 3. Safety glasses; <br /> 4. Hard hat with optional face shield (where overhead hazards <br /> exist) ; and <br /> 5. Air-purifying respirator (readily available) . <br /> 9 <br />
