The letter mentioned enclosed analytical results from
soil samples taken from the September 17,"i1991 over-excavation.
The letter received by PHS/EHD did not have any laboratory
results enclosed.
On January 27, 1992 a PHS/EHD representative, during a telephone
conversation with you, explained the need, for the submittal of a
report describing the activities of the over-excavation. The
report should include all pertinent data, including applicable
geological information and all analytical laboratory results. j
The report should be signed by a qualified Registered Geologist
or Certified Engineering Geologist.
i
Also discussed was the need for the installation of a groundwater !
monitoring well. San Joaquin County Flood Control Maps (1983 and
1986) record the seasonal high groundwater for your area to be
approximately 10 feet below ground surface. The investigation is
needed to verify that groundwater beneath the site was not
impacted from the release of petroleum from the former a
underground storage tanks. {
California Code of Regulations Title 23, Division 3 , Chapter 16
(Underground Tank Regulations) , Section 2'652 (d) requires
quarterly status reports be submitted to PHS/EHD and the Central
Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board until the
investigation and cleanup are complete. Please begin submitting
these reports effective immediately. l
9
The report should include data generated ;from all past
investigations and any plans for future investigation to show the
extent of soil and groundwater contamination with a time schedule
for implementing the proposed action.
A Division of San Joaquin Cowry Health fate ServiCc
. IJ
