The letter mentioned enclosed analytical results from <br /> soil samples taken from the September 17,"i1991 over-excavation. <br /> The letter received by PHS/EHD did not have any laboratory <br /> results enclosed. <br /> On January 27, 1992 a PHS/EHD representative, during a telephone <br /> conversation with you, explained the need, for the submittal of a <br /> report describing the activities of the over-excavation. The <br /> report should include all pertinent data, including applicable <br /> geological information and all analytical laboratory results. j <br /> The report should be signed by a qualified Registered Geologist <br /> or Certified Engineering Geologist. <br /> i <br /> Also discussed was the need for the installation of a groundwater ! <br /> monitoring well. San Joaquin County Flood Control Maps (1983 and <br /> 1986) record the seasonal high groundwater for your area to be <br /> approximately 10 feet below ground surface. The investigation is <br /> needed to verify that groundwater beneath the site was not <br /> impacted from the release of petroleum from the former a <br /> underground storage tanks. { <br /> California Code of Regulations Title 23, Division 3 , Chapter 16 <br /> (Underground Tank Regulations) , Section 2'652 (d) requires <br /> quarterly status reports be submitted to PHS/EHD and the Central <br /> Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board until the <br /> investigation and cleanup are complete. Please begin submitting <br /> these reports effective immediately. l <br /> �9 <br /> The report should include data generated ;from all past <br /> investigations and any plans for future investigation to show the <br /> extent of soil and groundwater contamination with a time schedule <br /> for implementing the proposed action. <br /> A Division of San Joaquin Cowry Health fate ServiCc <br /> .� IJ <br />
