Kenneth Olds
Superintendent
Lammersville School District
16555 West Von Sosten Road
Tracy, CA 95376
Mr . Olds:
Groundwater Technology, Inc. (GTI ) presents this proposal and
cost estimate for additional site assessment work at the
Lammersville School in Tracy, California. The work steps
included in this written proposal would provide the hydrogeologic
and chemical data needed for preparation of a Problem Assessment
Report (PAR) which is required by the California Regional Water
Quality Control Board, Central Valley Region (CRWQCB--CVR) . In
order to define the downgradient extent of the dissolved hydro-
carbon plume, GTT recommends the following work steps :
" Install three additional 2-inch diameter PVC monitoring
wells to a total depth of 20 feet at the approximate
locations shown in Figure 1 .
" Collect soil samples at 5--foot intervals to total depth
of the wells , using a split-spoon sampler and brass
sample tubes.
" Select one soil sample from each boring and submit the
samples to an analytical laboratory for analysis of
total petroleum hydrocarbons (TPH) as gasoline, and
benzene , toluene, ethylben ene, and xylene (BTEX)
concentrations
Survey the three new wells for elevation control .
" Monitor groundwater levels and collect water
samples from all monitoring wells .
The wells would be purged by bailing prior to sampling
to insure representative formation water is obtained
for analysis .
Offices lhmughoul the Ii.S.,Canal andOverseus
