n
CHRONOLOGY
LAMMERSVILLE SCHOOL
16555 VON SOSTEN ROAD, TRACY
11/26/86 PHS/EHD received notification that a 550 gallon gas tank had
been removed from the site.
12/15/86 PHS/EHD witnessed soil and grab water sampling from the tank
excavation.
01/02/87 PHS/EHD received sample results confirming contamination.
03/19/87 A water sample was collected from the school drinking water well
by Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board (lead
agency). The well is upgradient and over 1000 feet away from the
tank area.
03/23/87 PHS/EHD instructed the responsible party to hire a consultant.
06/19/87 Five monitoring wells were installed.
6/87-9188 Monitoring wells were sampled 3 times. Confirmed groundwater
contamination in MW1 and MW2 which are downgradient of the
tank pit.
02/06/89 A work plan for 3 additional monitoring wells was submitted.
03/23/89 A 2000 gallon diesel tank was removed. Petroleum odor and soil
discoloration was observed by the PHS/EHD inspector. Soil I
samples were collected.
04/12/89 PHS/EHD received the soil sample results from the 2000 gallon
tank removal. No contaminatiori was detected.
08/15/89 Site was placed in the Local Oversight Program with PHS/EHD
becoming the lead agency.
06/19/90 Monitoring wells 6,7and 8 were installed.
6190-8191 Monitoring wells 1 - 8 were sampled 5 times. MW6 which is
downgradient of MW1 and MW2 and the tank pit, had the highest
levels of groundwater contamination. MW1 and MW2
contamination levels were lower so it was suspected that the
plume was moving.
