Monitoring Well (MW-5) Decommissioning Report, 2130 West Washington Street Site,
Stockton, Sierra-Pacific Project No. 95=119.01
Dear Ms. Wyels:
A copy of the well (MW-5) decommissioning report is enclosed for your consideration. The well
was grouted with a bentonite/cement slurry on August 25, 1994 without complications. Wayne
Woodward Drilling, Rio Vista, was the drilling contractor. Mike Infurna (San Joaquin County)
handled the permitting and oversight. Cargill, Inc.i has subsequently requested that Sierra-Pacific
replace MW-5, and I believe that it would be prudent to wait until Cargil has finished building
roads, placing concrete, and installing tanks before a new up-gradient well is installed. Weather
will not be a problem for installation.
Please call me if you have questions.
Sincerely,
SIERRA-PACIFIC GROUNDWATER CONSULTANTS, INC.
J hn ejVCE
-11
Se forring Geologist
JSR/jb
Enclosure
C.
