WASTE DISCHARGE REQUIREMENTS <br /> QUALITY ASSURED PACKING, INC. -6- <br /> STOCKTON TERMINAL <br /> EASTERN RAILROAD OF NEVADA CORP. <br /> SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY <br /> 8. Wastewater treatment and disposal in fields and in the emergency <br /> j storage pond shall be managed in such a way that no wastewater solids <br /> accumulate, and so that an odor nuisance is prevented. <br /> 9. Wastewater will be blended with fresh water from irrigation wells <br /> prior to discharge to the fields at the rates approved in the <br /> Operational Plan, to be submitted according to Provision D.1 . of these <br /> requirements. <br /> 10. Wastewater shall not be applied to the fields during, and for 24 hours <br /> after, a rainstorm. <br /> 11 . Water shall not stand continuously in any borderchecks, ditch, or <br /> irrigation area for more than 12 hours after wastewater application <br /> has ceased. <br /> 12. The discharge of waste containing any carcinogen or reproductive toxin <br /> listed by the Governor pursuant to Health and Safety Code Sections <br /> 25249.5 through 25249. 13, the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic <br /> Enforcement Act of 1986 (Proposition 65) , where such chemical passes <br /> or probably will pass into any source of drinking water, is <br /> prohibited. <br /> C. Discharge Limitations: <br /> 1 . The discharge of an effluent which produces loading rates in excess of <br /> the following limits is prohibited: <br /> Constituent Loading Rate <br /> BODS (1) 75 lb/acre/day (2) <br /> Total Nitrogen 3.5 lb/acre/day (2) <br /> (1) 5-day 20°C Biochemical Oxygen Demand <br /> (2) 7-day average over disposal area in use <br /> 2. The discharge shall not have a pH less than 5.5 nor greater than 9.0. <br /> D. Provisions: <br /> 1 . The Discharger shall submit to the Board by 15 July 1990, and annually <br /> thereafter for approval by the Executive Officer, a Technical Report, <br /> including an Operational Plan detailing steps which will be followed <br />
