The following is an itemized list of hazardous waste violations that have not been <br /> addressed for EL CAMINO TIRES as of June 16, 2020. <br /> Open violations from October 112018 inspection <br /> ❑ This violation was corrected ❑ This violation will be corrected by (date): <br /> ❑ Supporting documents included <br /> Describe actions taken or will be taken to correct violation: <br /> Violation #401 -Failed to store hazardous waste in a container that is in good condition. <br /> A closed top, blue 55 gallon steel drum was observed with the top cut open and overfilling with used unpunctured/ <br /> uncrushed oil filters. Hazardous waste shall be stored in a container that is in good condition. Immediately transfer <br /> all of the hazardous waste into containers that are in good condition or have the waste properly disposed of by a <br /> licensed hazardous waste hauler under a proper manifest. <br /> ❑ This violation was corrected ❑ This violation will be corrected by (date): <br /> ❑ Supporting documents included <br /> Describe actions taken or will be taken to correct violation: <br /> Violation#403 - Failed to keep hazardous waste containers closed except when adding or removing <br /> hazardous waste. <br /> The following drums were observed open: <br /> Shop Area(north section): <br /> -One blue 55 gallon steel drum containing used oil (full)was observed with the bung hole open. <br /> -One black 55 gallon steel drum containing used oil (approx. 50 gallons full)was observed with the bung hole open. <br /> Shop Area(middle section) <br /> -Two white 5 gallon plastic buckets containing saturated oily absorbent were observed without a lid. <br /> -One white 5 gallon plastic bucket containing used unpunctured/ uncrushed oil filters was observed without a lid <br /> (1/2 full). <br /> Shop Area(south section): <br /> -One yellow 16 gallon steel drum containing metal fines (1/4 full)was observed without a lid. <br /> Side Shop: <br /> -Two blue and one black 55 gallon steel drums containing used unpunctured/uncrushed oil filters were observed <br /> overflowing without a lid. <br /> -One blue 55 gallon steel drum containing used unpunctured/uncrushed oil filters (3/4 full)was observed without a <br /> lid. <br /> -One black 55 gallon steel drum containing used unpunctured/uncrushed oil filters (1/4 full)was observed not <br /> completely shut. <br /> -One yellow 16 gallon steel drum containing used absorbent(3/4 full)was observed without a lid. <br /> All hazardous waste containers shall be closed at all times except when adding or removing waste. Immediately <br /> close these containers and ensure all hazardous waste containers are closed when not adding or removing waste. <br /> Page 6 of 11 <br />
