08 May 2019 AdvancedGeo
AGE Project No. 15-3508 Environmental
5.2. SEISMIC ANCHORING
AST seismic anchoring includes a total of three 6-inch by 3.25-inch by 0.25-inch steel
plates bolted approximately 3.5-inches into the concrete slab which the tank rests on.
Each steel plate is bolted to the forklift "feet" which are welded onto the tank.
Additionally, the AST is surrounded on the east and south sides by wooden walls located
within the warehouse maintenance shop. The AST is shown in Figure 3.
5.3. INTEGRITY TEST FINDINGS
Based on the calculations discussed in Section 5.1., the AST has sufficient integrity for
its intended use. The total seismic load of the tank is calculated at 2,000 lbs. when empty
and 7,920 lbs. when full.
6.0. DISCREPANCIES AND NON-COMPLIANT ISSUES
The tank was observed without a visual and audible overfill alarm system. No other
discrepancies or fixes were found during the inspection and AST assessment conducted
by AGE representatives on 29 January 2019.
7.0. LIMITATIONS
Our professional services were performed using that degree of care and skill ordinarily
exercised by environmental consultants practicing in this or similar localities. The findings
were based upon results provided by an independent subcontractor. Evaluation of the
conditions at the site for the purpose of this investigation was made from a limited number
of available data points (field measurements) and conditions may vary away from these
data points. No other warranty, expressed or implied, is made as to the professional
interpretations, opinions and recommendations contained in this report.
