KLEINFELDER
Task 3 - Prepare a Report of Findings
Upon completion of soil sampling and receipt and review of analytical results, a report of
findings will be prepared. The report will include:
► A description of field activities, observations, and protocols.
► Lithologic logs and, if appropriate, interpreted geologic cross sections.
► Tabularized results of soil sample analysis with copi s of certified analytical
laboratory results.
► Description and documentation of QA/QC procedures employed for field and
laboratory work.
CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES AND ASSUMPTIONS
► Adequate work space and access will be provided. Kleinfelder will attempt to
advance soil borings at the proposed locations. If the drilling equipment cannot be
positioned or the borings cannot be advanced to the desired depth, alternative
drilling locations or sampling methods should be investiga ed.
► The borings are to be drilled with a truck mounted drill rig equipped with
hollow-stem augers.
► Soil generated during the drilling and sampling will be tl e responsibility of AMM.
Soil cuttings will be contained in 55-gallon drums or wrapped in plastic and left on
site. Sampling and analysis of the containerized soil ay be necessary prior to
disposal. Disposal options for the soil can be assessed o ce analytical results have
been received. Kleinfelder can assist AMM with the disp al of soil if necessary.
► This proposal is based on the presumption that AMM will provide any and all
available survey maps or other data to determine the cation of tanks, existing
structures, underground utilities and services. AM should be aware that
penetrating the site's surface is inherently risky. It is iml ossible to determine with
certainty the precise location of all structures which may be buried in the ground.
Kleinfelder's fee is not adequate to compensate for bot i the performance of the
services and the assumption of risk of damage to such tructures. Disruption of
utilities or damage to underground structures will be th responsibility of AMM.
Services rendered by Kleinfelder to repair them will be bi led at cost. Underground
Services Alert (USA) at 1-800-642-2444 provides a parti il location service free of
charge for major utility lines. Kleinfelder can make contact with USA for a site
visit, if requested.
FAT-92-16 Page 2 of 3
Copyright 1992 Kleinfelder,Inc.
