Brief Description and History of the Site: The Site consis s of approximately 62 <br /> acres of unincorporated land within the City of Stockton southwest of the <br /> intersection of Alpine Avenue and West Lane in San Joaquin County, California. <br /> The Stockton Box Company, American Forest Productsompany, and American <br /> Moulding and Millwork Company conducted wood produ�ts manufacturing at the <br /> Site from about 1920 to about 1993. The MCD West Lane LLC acquired the Site <br /> out of bankruptcy on March 16, 2006 and sold the Site to the San Joaquin <br /> Regional Rail Commission in December 2008. <br /> Based on data collected from various environmental investigations at the Site, <br /> chemicals are present in various media as a result of his orical operations. Site <br /> investigations have documented the presence of total petroleum hydrocarbons, <br /> volatile organic compounds, semi-volatile organic compc unds, dioxins/furans, <br /> formaldehyde, polynuclear aromatic hydrocarbons, andmetals in soil, <br /> groundwater and/or soil gas beneath the Site. Interim Remediation was <br /> conducted to reduce chemicals of potential concern (Co IPC) concentrations to <br /> levels safe for site-wide commercial/industrial development of the Property.
