SCOPE Ok'WORK
The scope of work for this site assessment includes:
• Pre-field permitting;
• Preparation of a health and safety plan;
• Advancement of eight soil borings at various locations on the site indeatified as potential
sources for subsurface contanvnation. Soil borings will be u ed for collection of soil
and/or `grab' ground water samples.
• Laboratory analysis of the ground water samples and selected so' samples;
• Preparation of a report of findings; and
• Preparation of a Health Risk Assessment based on the findings f the proposed scope of
work.
4.1. PERMITTING AND PRE-FIELD WORK ACTIVITIES
Prior to conducting field activities, applicable site assessment permits ill be obtained from the
EHD. In addition,an updated,site-specific health and safety plan will be pr-.pared in accordance with
Occupational Safety and Health Guidance Manual for Hazardous Wast Site Activities (National.
Institute for Occupational Safety and Health Administration, U.S. Coast Guard and U.S.
Environmental Protection Agency, 1985). Prior to mobilization, the pror osed excavation area and
soil boring location will be clearly marked and an underground utility clearance will be obtained
through Underground Service Alert.
4.2. SOIL BORINGS
AGE proposes to advanced eight probe borings for collection of soil d/or `grab' ground water
samples at various locations identified at possible sources for subs ce contamination. Probe
boring willbe advanced utilizing a hollow-stem auger drill rig and"direct-ush"techniques. Borings
will be advanced as followings:
• One soil boring north of the north storm water basin and north pit for collection of a
`grab' ground water sample to delineate the extent of metals-imp ed ground water in the
area;
• Two soil borings north of the Millwork Building for collection ¢f soil and `grab' ground
water samples to delineate the extent of TPH-impacted ground ater;
Advanced Geo&nvironmant&4 Hu-
