Each change of custody will be documented. <br /> • The laboratory report will note the condition of the samples upon receipt on the chain-of- <br /> custody form, a copy of which will be included in the final report. <br /> • All samples selected for analysis will be analyzed within standard holding times. <br /> • Samples will be analyzed according to EPA methods noted in Section 7.0 of this work plan. <br /> • Sample duplicates will be collected and analyzed as appropriate to ensure data validity. One <br /> laboratory-prepared travel blank will be utilized to detect cross-contamination of the VOC <br /> sample, and an equipment blank will be prepared in the field to check, if necessary, for cross- <br /> contamination resulting from inadequate decontamination procedures. <br /> • The site-specific health and safety plan will be reviewed in the field prior to initiation of field <br /> work. <br /> • Field work will be conducted under the supervision of a California Registered Geologist <br /> experienced with environmental investigations. <br /> 7.0. EQUIPMENT DECONTAMINATION <br /> All sampling tools used for sample collectionwill be thoroughly rinsed with clean water after being <br /> washed with a solution of Alconox.All down-hole drilling and sampling equipment will be pressure <br /> washed prior to starting the boring. <br /> 8.0. LABORATORY ANALYSES <br /> Ground water samples will be collected from each boring using a new, clean, disposable plastic <br /> bailer. Immediately upon retrieval, the samples will be transferred into appropriate EPA-approved <br /> containers as follows: <br /> • 500-milliliter plastic lacking a preservative - dissolved lead, nickel, copper, chromium and <br /> zinc, formaldehyde and arsenic, and <br /> • Three 40-m1 VOA vials containing 0.5 ml 18%hydrochloric acid as a sample preservative- <br /> total recoverable petroleum hydrocarbons (TRPH)- <br /> Soil samples will be collected as described in Section 4.3. Samples will be logged on a chain-of <br /> custody farm stored in a chilled container and transported under chain-of-custody to DHS-certified <br /> laboratory- <br /> Adv.c•d Ge•Favtr•um•nn],Ia•. <br />
