Phase II Additional Site Assessment Work Plan- Maintenance Septic Leach Field, Former Steam Cleaning Area and Drainage Ditch, and South Burn Pit Fill American Moulding and Millwork Company 2801 North West Lane, Stockton, California 1.0. INTRODUCTION In accordance with the request of Mr. J. Patrick Hughes of American Moulding and Millwork Company(AMM)Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (AGE)has prepared this work plan to further assess the active septic tank area northeast of the Maintenance building aad a former steam cleaning facility near the west drainage ditch identified in the 25 September 2000 Phase H Assessment Report as having been impacted by unauthorized releases of hazardous materials.i In addition,this work plan includes procedures to advance soil borings to collect soil and grab ground water samples from fill and native soil near the south bum pit area to assess the fill thickness arfd for target contaminants. Figure 1 shows the site locality.Figures 2 and 3 shows structures and proposed boring and sampling locations on the site. The scope of work includes: • Preparation of this Work Plan; • Preparation of a Health and Safety Plan; • Advance two soil borings to groundwater(approximately 45 to 5 feet bsg),one in the septic tank area northeast of the Maintenance building, and the other near the west ditch to collect soil and ground water samples; • Advance three soil borings to approximately 15 feet bsg between the former steam cleaning facility and the west ditch to collect soil samples; • Advance two soil borings in through fill material near the south urn pit to collect soil and grab ground water samples; • Collection of shallow subsurface soil samples (0.5 feet bsg) in a former steam cleaning area; • Obtaining laboratory analysis of the ground water samples and s lected soil samples; and • Preparation of a report of findings. 2.0. BACKGROUND In 198?, Dames and Moore,Inc. (D&M) completed a Phase I Site Assessment of 2801 North West Lane, Stockton, California (the subject site). A number of potential environmental concerns were identified and most were subsequently addressed by Kleinfelder and others. On 20 March 2000, Property Solutions, Inc. (PSI) completed an updated Phase I Ero ental Assessment of the property,AGE was provided an executive summary from the latter,which listed five main areas of concern on the property: Advanced GeoFnviron to Inc.
