AOC Work Plans
bgs. In addition, groundwater samples were also collected from the boring . The soil and
groundwater samples were analyzed for SVOCs ,total chromium, lead, anzinc. Chromium and
lead were detected in soil samples from boring PB-1 at concentrations of 5 3 and 6.4 mg/kg,
respectively, and from boring PB-2 at 52 and 4.6 mg/kg,respectively. Zin was detected at a
concentration of 70 mg/kg in both borings. The concentrations for chrorm im,lead, and zinc were
all at or near background levels. None of the requested analytes were dete ted in the groundwater
sample.
Former Penta Tank
Kleinfelder collected soil samples adjacent to and deeper(depth not cited Kleinfelder report)
than the depth of the tank in 1992. Soil samples were collected for analy s of PCP and
trichlorophenol(TCP). Both PCP and TCP were below reporting limits( GE, 2002).
In 2001,AGE drilled one soil boring(PB-4)in the vicinity of the Penta TE nk area to a depth of 55
feet bgs. One soil sample(from a depth of 10 foot bgs)and one grolmdw ter sample were
collected and submitted for laboratory analyses for SVOCs,phenols, and I ormaldehyde.
Formaldehyde was detected in the soil sample at a concentration of 3.2 m g.,below the
residential PRG of 9,200 mg/kg,while SVOCs and phenols were below -porting limits. None of
the requested analytes were detected in the groundwater sample.
Data Gaps
On the basis of the previous sampling events, there were no data gaps id tified for the Truck
Parking Area or Former Penta Tank. Additional sampling performed int the vicinity of the one
sample exceeding the PRG for PCP at the Truck Parking Area confirmed hat Site soils were below
the appropriate PRGs indicating the vertical and horizontal extent of the a ceedance was
confirmed.
Draft
KB61125 workplan-ESC MACTEC Engineering and Consulting, Inc. 14
September 28,2005
