AOC Work Plans <br /> One soil sample below the former Penta Tank detected formaldehyde below the residential PRG, <br /> and it is our opinion that this detection does not warrant additional investigation.All other soil <br /> sample results from the tank area were below reporting limits for PCP,phei tols, SVOCs,and <br /> formaldehyde and these compounds were also absence in a groundwater sai nple collected from the <br /> area. <br /> 4.7.2 Underground Storage Tanks <br /> Site Summary <br /> A total of 15 USTs had been identified at the Site at the time of the Kleinfe Ider Workplan(Plate <br /> 4.1.2). Some of the USTs were later determined to be exempt from stateregulations as there were <br /> identified as sumps. Site USTs were identified by the Site Code number( 882)and tank number <br /> (0001 through 0014). <br /> In November 2000,AGE interviewed Ms. Carol Oz of the PHS-EHD reg ding the status of the <br /> USTs formerly located on the subject site. According to Ms. Oz,tank Nur ibers 0007,0008,and <br /> 00014(discussed below)were removed in November 1987 and no contain nation was encountered <br /> in soil underlying the tanks. UST Numbers 0001,0002, and 0005 were underlain by hydrocarbon- <br /> impacted soil,which was remediated as described below. Notes of the coi versation do not include <br /> UST Number 0003,but Ms. Oz stated that there were no outstanding issue related to any of the <br /> USTs and that the PHS-EHD had no open UST cases on the site other than the final groundwater <br /> monitoring events for tank numbers 0002 and 0005,as described below. <br /> The RWQCB indicated at a July 31,2001,meeting with AGE personnel t t the former USTs on <br /> the site pose no concerns at this point in time. An official closure letter was issued only for UST <br /> Number 18822 (also cited as UST 18820001). Closure letters were not is ued for the other former <br /> USTs due to lack of submission of various documents and the RWQCB i dicated that such letters <br /> Draft <br /> KB61125 workplan-ESC MACTEC Engineering and Consulting, Inc. 1s <br /> September 28,2005 <br />
