AOC Work Plans
The two soil samples(LP4-30 and LP5-12)were collected at depths of 12 and 30 feet bgs and
analyzed for formaldehyde,TRPH,VOCs,chromium, lead,and zinc. For aldehyde,TRPH,
chromium, lead, and zinc were detected at maximum concentrations of 4. ,26,70, 1.3, and 45
mg/kg respectively, below their respective residential PRG or background level. VOCs were not
detected above laboratory reporting limits in either sample.
In December 2001,AGE installed an additional boring(PB-7)in the Mill ork Building Septic
leach field and collected a grab groundwater sample from the boring. The sample was analyzed for
formaldehyde, and the dissolved metals chromium, lead, nickel and zinc o aly. All requested
compounds were below laboratory reporting limits in the sample.
Finger Joints Building Septic Tanks—Inactive
In 1987,both D&M and Kleinfelder proposed sampling of soil and groundwater in the vicinity of
the Finger Joints building septic leach field. No copies of either report or any other direct
references to the results of their investigation were available for review.
During December 2000 site assessment activities,AGE collected soil les at depths of 15 and
25 feet bgs and grab groundwater samples from the septic leach field east f the Finger Joint
Building/Box Factory(Plate 4.1.3). All soil and groundwater samples wee analyzed for TRPH,
formaldehyde,TCP,TCE,PCE and metals. With the exception chromium lead and zinc detected
at concentrations considered to be background, none of the requested corn pounds were detected in
analyzed samples(AGE, 2000). The groundwater sample also contained elevated concentrations of
all total metals. The metals sample was not filtered prior to analysis and i ere therefore, not
considered representative of dissolved metals concentrations in groundwa er.
Draft
KB61125 workplan-ESC MACTEC Engineering and Consulting, Inc. 26
September 28,2005
