AOC Work Plans
Remaining Septic Tanks
No documented investigations have been performed for the septic tanks eE st of the Cover Plant,
south of the former Nurse's Station, or west of the former Maintenance Bi ilding.
Data Gaps
On the basis of the previous sampling events, previous review of regulatol y files by others, and
prior discussions with AMMC personnel,it is our opinion that there are no data gaps for the septic
tanks. Sampling data collected to date, has indicated that all soil sampler sults were below
cleanup levels. Although selected groundwater total metals results excee ed PRGs,it is our
opinion, that because the samples were not filtered prior to analysis, they a not considered
representative of dissolved metals concentrations in groundwater. Result of the dissolved metals
analysis at boring PB-7 located in the Millwork Building Septic leach field did not detect metals
above laboratory reporting limits.
Although no documented sampling has been performed for the septic to east of the Cover Plant,
south of the former Nurse's Station,or west of the former Maintenance Bitilding,it is our opinion,
that investigation activities are not warranted at these locations. There is i10 evidence to suggest
hazardous materials were disposed in these tanks and sampling at the other septic tank locations did
not suggest releases had occurred.
4.1.4 Polychlorinated Biphenyl Containing Transformers
Site Summary
According to Kleinfelder's AMMC Phase III Assessment Report(Kleinfe der, 1992), there were
five PCB-containing transformers on site, although six transformers were described in the report.
One transformer was located in the center of the Millwork Building, three were located on the
outside southwest corner of the Millwork Building, and two were located on poles between the Box
Draft
K1361125 workplan-ESC MACTEC Engineering and Corsulting, Inc. 27
September 28,2005
