3.2.1 Duplicate Samples <br /> Duplicate storm water runoff samples will be collected for 15 percent of <br /> the total number of samples collected. Each of the duplicate samples will <br /> be collected simultaneously with the original storm water sample of a given <br /> area. The sampling methods used to collect original and duplicate samples <br /> will be identical. In addition, original and duplicate samples will be <br /> placed in identical containers and handled in the same manner. The sample <br /> areas from which the duplicates are collected will be documented in the <br /> field logbook. <br /> 3.2.2 Trip Blanks <br /> Two trip blanks will be prepared in clean sample containers by the <br /> laboratory to accompany sample containers transported to the site. The <br /> trip blanks will remain onsite during sampling, will be submitted to the <br /> laboratory along with the storm water samples, and will be analyzed in the <br /> same manner as the storm water samples. <br /> 3.2.3 Background Samples <br /> Two background samples of the rainfall will be collected at the facility <br /> while the storm water samples are collected. Clean collection devices will <br /> be used to collect the background samples of the rainfall before the <br /> rainfall reaches the asphalt surface of the South Yard. The background <br /> samples will be transported to the laboratory in clean, one liter <br /> polyethylene bottles along with the storm water samples and will be <br /> analyzed in the same manner as the storm water runoff samples. <br /> 3.3 DECONTAMINATION PROCEDURES <br /> Decontamination procedures for personnel, equipment, and disposal of waste <br /> materials will be in accordance with the Health and Safety Plan for <br /> Remedial Activities at the site. <br /> 4.0 SAMPLE CUSTODY AND DOCUMENTATION <br /> Sample custody and documentation procedures will be followed according to <br /> Section 4.3.3 of the Current Work Plan. <br /> 3 <br />
