Operating Description and Sampling and Monitoring Plan.
2. Construction Specifications.
3. Civil Design Drawings.
Additional design and implementation documents are currently being
prepared by Black & Veatch and will be forwarded to you upon completion.
These design documents include a Health and Safety Plan for system
construction, complete electrical details, and additional civil details.
Two major factors need to be considered in reviewing the project
documents.
1. The remedial action will be implemented in four phases:
Pilot System Construction, Pilot Study, Full-Scale
Construction, and Long-Term Flushing.
The Pilot System Construction will consist of installation of
two injection wells and additional monitoring devices. The
pilot flushing system will then be operated and monitored for
approximately two months. At the conclusion of this phase,
modifications in the final construction efforts will be
defined as necessary. After construction of the full-scale
flushing system, flushing will be operated until an apparent
steady state condition has been reached and there is no
decrease in hexavalent chromium concentrations with continued
flushing.
