C ' <br /> CHRONOLOGY <br /> AMERICAN MOULDING8, MILLWORK <br /> 2801 WEST LANE, STOCK ON, CA 95204 <br /> SITE CODE: 1882 <br /> 1921 - 1987 Site owned and operated by American Fo est Products Corporation. <br /> 02185 Bechtel National Inc. (BNI) conducted a reliminary site investigation in the vicinity of <br /> the maintenance shop on this date. Three test pits were excavated to a depth of 3 feet <br /> for soil sampling and analysis. Results of this investigation suggest that underground <br /> storage tank (UST) #2 had leaked. <br /> 12/16/85 Two' soil borings P6 and P7 advanced on this date as part of the preliminary <br /> investigation. <br /> 02186 During this time BNI conducted additional preliminary site investigation which included <br /> three soil borings adjacent to UST 42 to a depth of 27 feet below surface grade (bsg) <br /> for soil sample collection and analysis. Results of this investigation revealed that soil <br /> contamination was present so all three USTs, # 2, 4, and 5, located in vicinity of the <br /> maintenance shop were subsequently taken out of service. <br /> 05/15/87 The property ownership transferred to American Molding and Millwork. A Phase <br /> environmental assessment was conducted on this date. <br /> 06-09187 Kleinfelder advanced 33 soil borings (B-1 though B-33) in vicinity of the maintenance <br /> shop during this time. The analytical esults of the soil samples reported total <br /> petroleum hydrocarbons as diesel (TPH- ) and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) <br /> and semi-volatile organic compounds including Naphthalene. <br /> 06187 Three monitoring wells were installed (MW-1, MW-2, and MW-3) during this time. <br /> 04188 Dames and Moore advanced 18 soil borings (SB-1 through SB-18) to conduct additional <br /> site assessment during this time. <br /> 05/11/88 On this date USTs # 2 (10K diesel), # 4 ( 00 gallon diesel) and # 5 (1,000 gallon waste <br /> oil) were removed by Stockton Service tation. Soil samples were taken from the <br /> excavations and test results indicated th t there was a release from USTs #2 and #5 <br /> and no release from UST#4. <br /> 07/13/88 Date of Feasibility Study/Remedial Actiop Plan, prepared by Dames & Moore, which <br /> consists of a proposal for site remediation by excavation of soils containing greater than <br /> 10,000 ppm TPH-d based on the Department of Health Services Decision Tree Manual. <br /> 05/31/89 A Notification of Hazardous Waste Discharge and an Unauthorized Release Report <br /> were filed on this date. <br /> 05-06190 During this time approximately 2,800 to 3,000 cubic yards of soil were removed from <br /> UST #2 and #5 excavations, and the ormer maintenance shop was demolished. <br /> Excavations were completed to a total depth of 22 feet bsg at UST #2 and 26 feet bsg at <br /> UST #5.
