Chronology Page 2
2801 West Lane, Stockton
bsg for UST #2 and EES-6B at 26 feet bsg for UST # 5 excavation contained 23,000
ppm and 740 ppm TPH-d, respectively. Excavated soils, except for 150 cubic yards with
analytical results less than 100 milligrams per kilogram (mg/kg) for TPH-d, were treated
on-site then transported to BFI landfill in Livermore CA during November and December
1990. The excavations were then backfill d with clean fill and the remaining 150 cubic
yards of excavated soil. Site Remediation Report dated May 28, 1992 discusses this
work.
07123-24190 MW-1, MW-2, and MW-3 were destroyed on this date because groundwater was now
below the bottom of these wells. SitRemediation Report dated May 28, 1992
discusses this work.
07/30/90 Monitoring wells DMW-1 through DMW-4 were installed on this date. Site Remediation
Report dated May 28, 1992 discusses this work.
0611991 Eighty five feet of product lines for UST #2 were removed on this date. Approximately
160 cubic yards of soil was removed to a depth of 5 feet bsg. Results of soil samples
collected revealed the soil was contaminated. The excavated soil was transported to
Port Costa Materials Inc. facility in Port Costa, CA on August 5 and 6, 1991. Site
Remediation Report dated May 28, 1992 discusses this work.
05/28/92 Date of Site Remediation Report, prepared by Dames & Moore, which discusses site
activities until this date and requests closu a of the site.
11/29/93 The site was placed in the Local Oversight Program on this date. Previous site work
was under the oversight of the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board.
1213 & 6193 A Notice of Reimbursement was sent to the responsible parties, American Forest
Products and American Moulding and Millwork on this date.
01/10/94 Date of The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) letter in
response to the Site Remediation Report date 5/28/92 directing a work plan for
additional site investigation and a discussion of remedial alternatives be submitted.
08/01/94 Date of Draft Closure Request which recommended conducting groundwater
monitoring for 5 years and proposed that i the groundwater levels remained below 50
feet bsg and there were no detections of PH-d in the water samples the site should
be closed.
08/29/94 Date of the EHD letter rejecting the Draft Closure Request, noting that a 5 year
groundwater monitoring program would not address the soil contamination located at
25 to 35 feet bsg and directing that a feasibility study and a work plan to install a
monitoring well down-gradient be submitted.
05/02/95 Date of Addendum to Work Plan proposi g installation of two additional soil borings
SB-19 and SB-20.
05/04/95 DMW-5 was installed and two additional soil borings (SB-19 and SB-20) were
advanced on this date.
