Near the green plastic tub was another <br /> uncovered and unlabeled round grey plastic tub containing approximately 2 gallons of oil.According to staff,this tub <br /> was collected and brought into the hazardous waste storage area to be added to the used oil tank. Facilities shall be <br /> maintained and operated to minimize the possibility of a fire, explosion, or release of hazardous waste to air, soil, or <br /> surface water which could threaten human health or the environment. Immediately empty the green plastic tub, and <br /> the grey plastic tub and manage according to Title 22 hazardous waste regulations. Submit a statement and <br /> supporting documentation explaining how this waste was managed. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> 403 CCR 66262.34(d)(2) Failed to keep hazardous waste containers closed except when adding or removing hazardous <br /> waste. <br /> One white plastic 5 gallon bucket containing waste antifreeze was observed in the hazardous waste storage area <br /> without a lid. All hazardous waste containers shall be closed at all times except when adding or removing waste. <br /> Immediately close these containers and ensure all hazardous waste containers are closed when not adding or <br /> removing waste. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> 406 CCR 66261.7 Contaminated container not marked with date emptied or managed within one year of being emptied. <br /> One empty 55 gallon Primrose Oil drum was observed in the hazardous waste storage area without a date. <br /> Containers larger than five gallons that previously held a hazardous material shall be marked with the date they were <br /> emptied and managed within one year of being emptied. Immediately mark and manage all empty containers per this <br /> section. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> 601 CCR 66262.34(d) Stored hazardous waste onsite greater than 180 days. <br /> Facilities who generate less than 1000 kg of hazardous waste per month and do not exceed 6000 kg of waste stored <br /> on site at any time may store waste on site up to 180 days. One white plastic 5 gallon bucket containing <br /> approximately 4 gallons of waste antifreeze was observed in the hazardous waste storage area without a label. Since <br /> it cannot be determined how long the hazardous waste has been on site, immediately contact a licensed hazardous <br /> waste hauler to dispose of this waste under manifest.
