1 <br /> June 25 ,1990 <br /> Monday <br /> Day # 16 <br /> Backfill Continued backfilling and compaction of the West <br /> excavation Compaction testing and controls are by <br /> AIM The compaction test are averaging high 90% <br /> L Work started at 12' below grade and ended at 7'6" <br /> Place sand in bottom of the east excavation and <br /> compacted by using the water jetting method <br /> Visitors Jim Curtis was on site today <br /> Irrigation Jim and I meet with subcontractor Rain For Rent at <br /> 10 am Shut off water line feeding fire hoses <br /> north of building 40 AM&K mechanic was installing <br /> a hose bib to fill folk lift radiators <br /> Rain installed a 2 1/2" T ahead of the fire hose <br /> Then installed a 4" main line to the btocell The <br /> 4" line crossed over the road way A 2x wood ramp <br /> was constructed over the pipe crossing A automatic <br />' valve was installed at the north/west corner of <br /> building 40 The valve is controlled by a time <br /> clock located gust inside the same building corner <br />' The time clock was plugged into a outlet located <br /> 35' away using an extension cord <br /> Irrigation system was completed around 3 PM <br /> Suggested that a back flow prevention be placed on <br /> the irrigation line This water service is <br /> domestic service and feeds building 40 toilets and <br /> drinking water <br /> Stockpiled soil Continued to move stockpiled soil from excavation <br /> area to btocell location Completed the moving of <br />' all soil into btocell from excavation Last day for <br /> 10 wheel truck <br /> Soil Testing AIM took sample of clean overburden stockpile to <br /> run a compaction curve Soil may take more work to <br /> use than imported fill Soil dry density was <br /> approx 110 lbs/cf with a OMC of 15% <br /> Overburden Spoke with Bruce S about using overburden a <br /> backfill backfill material OK to place this soil at a <br />' 6' or 7' level below the surface We should have <br /> less problems making compaction on at the surface <br /> closest to the A/C pavement Bruce said OK Bruce <br /> did not want to buy any more fill than was <br />' necessary He did not believe that we would have <br /> any regulatory problems have that overburden place <br /> lower in the excavation therefore closer to the <br /> water table <br /> Change Order Spoke with Bruce About CKC change order for out of <br /> scope work Constructing expansion btocell area <br />
