Proposal—Additional rechnical Service Installing two soil bonngs and collecting 5 soil samples from each boring This task will occur in August 2001 and will include submission of a Work Plan for the proposed work, and Preparing a Ficial Report (draft and final) presenting the results of the groundwater monitoring and comparison of the soil sample results relative to results obtained in 1995 at the same locations 1 1 TASK 1 GROUNDWATER MONITORING Groundwater monitoring will be conducted at this site on a semi-annual basis for five years Proposed work includes taking water level measurements, collecting water samples to be submitted for TPH-d analysts and evaluating the groundwater flow directions and the analytical results Dames & Moore will provide a beef summary letter(1n draft and final form) to Kirkland & Ellis following each monitoring or sampling activity (1 a twice per year) Each summary letter will bn:ily describe the work performed at the Site and the status of the project schedule and budget as described in . Section 1 2 an annual report will be prepared to present the groundwater morutonng data Depth to groundwater will be measured in flit five wells in lanuary and July each year Groundwater samples will be collected 1n July and analyzed for TPH-d by EPA Method 8015M Prior to sample collection, the wells will be purged of at Icast three casing volumes Purging will continue until field parameters(pH, temperature, and conductivity)stabilize Purge water will be contained in a tank mounted on the sampling vehicle and transferred to a polypropylene tank for on-sr.e storage pending the results of the analysis and selection of appropriate disposal procedures No estimated disposal cost is included in our estimated charges for this project, as it possible that there will be no disposal charge (the purge water can be discharged to pavement at the site if no elevated levels of chemicals are present) 1 2 TASK 2 ANNUAL REPORTING AND PROJECT SUPPORT A Letter Report presenting the analytical results will be submitted by the end of ALugust each year or for 1996 within 30 days from the completion of sample collection activities The report will present tabular summaries of measured groundwater levels and reported laboratory analytical results A draft copy of the letter report will be submitted to Kirkland & Ellis for review Commenu will be incorporated before subrmaing the final letter report Damcs&Moore is also atlocatir¢ 4 hours per year R+sAC%erumveoe w wro Page 2 DAmts & Moolm
