• <br /> Proposal—Additional Tachnieal Serviee <br /> Of Project Manager time for support activities such as communicating with legal staff or regulatory <br /> agencies <br /> 1.3 TASK 3 SOIL SAMPLING AND ANALYSIS <br /> In August 2001, a soil boring permit application and Work Pian describing a proposed soil <br /> evaluation program will be subtruaed to PHS-EHD Two sod borings will be drilled adjacent to former <br /> soil bonngs SB-19 and SB-20 and soil samples will be collected from 20, 25, 30 35 and 40 feet below <br /> ground surface (bgs) in each boring The sod samples will be analyzed for TPH-d to evaluate any <br /> changes in the distributton of petroleum hydrocarbons relative to the distribution indicated in site <br /> investigations conducted to date If changes to concentration are apparent an erfort will be made to <br /> identify evidence of degradation or migration that may indicate the mechanism by which changes are <br /> occurring The findings will be presented in the final project report as described in Section 1 4 <br /> 1 4 TASK 4 FINAL PROJECT REPORT <br /> • A Final Report for dus project will be prepared within 30 days after receipt of analytical results <br /> for the soil samples collected as described in Section 1 3 The Final Report will summanu the results <br /> of the five years of groundwater monitoring and compare the soil sampling data obtained in August 2001 <br /> with previous data from borings SB-19 and S8-20 The Final Report will also present Dames&Moore s <br /> recommendations for the appropriateness of closure or the need for further evaluations A draft copy <br /> of the Final Report will be submitted to Kirkland and Ellis for review Review comments will be <br /> incorporated and copies of the Ficial Report will be sent to AFPC (two copies), the PNS-EHD and the <br /> Regional Water Quality Control Board (one copy to each agency) <br /> 2.0 COST ESTIMATE <br /> We propose to provide our services on a rime-and-ezpanse basis in accordance with our Standard <br /> Schedule of Charges and General Conditions which are attached Hourly rates have been adjusted to <br /> allow for anticipated rate increases that will occur over the five year project life We have not included <br /> a contingency allowance for increased scope of wont during the project duration, a specific budget <br /> increase request will be prepared if out-of-scope work is requested <br /> Our euunate of charges to conduct the Additional Technical Services described in this proposal <br /> is$36 935 as outlined in the attached Breakdown of Cost Estimate These charges are based on the scope <br /> is uAC%GF13M9fiN 0A Wro Page 3 <br /> DAMES&MOORE <br />
