.. . . .... ..
I
URS
Purge and rinsate water were placed into a Baker tank located at the site. The wastewater was removed
Fs•'
and disposed of by ABCO Environmental and manifested as non-hazardous waste based on site analytical
data. E
-' Laboratory supplied sample containers and trip blanks were obtained from Severn Trent Laboratories
(STL), Inc., Sacramento, California, prior to the sampling events. STL is certified by the California
Department of Health Services, Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Program DHS-ELAP
Following purging, samples were collected from each well using disposable bailers, and transferred to the
appropriate laboratory-supplied sample containers through an attachment that allows a controlled flow
from the bailer. Sample containers were then labeled and placed into an iced cooler for shipment to the
analytical laboratory via overnight carrier. A completed chain-of-custody (copies of which are included
in Appendix A) accompanied each sample shipment.
LABORATORY ANALYSIS
+- The groundwater samples were submitted for analysis according to the following methods:
Wells Analysis Method
Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons as
=a DMW-1 through DMW-7 Diesel (TPH-D) Method$015M
Chlorinated volatile organic compounds EPA Method 8260B
1:='d
A field duplicate was collected at DMW-3, however instructions on the chain-of-custody were mis-
interpreted by the analytical laboratory and the duplicate was not analyzed. A trip blank included with the
sample shipment was analyzed for chlorinated volatile organic compounds (VOCs) by EPA Method
8260B. STL,Inc., also performed routine laboratory quality assurance/quality control(QA/QC) analyses, _
including method blanks, surrogate analyses, matrix spikes, and matrix spike duplicates. Laboratory
=; analytical reports for the groundwater samples and the associated QA/QC samples are included in `
Appendix B. #
' Data validation was performed by URS, consisting of a review of:
• Data completeness;
Fa • Holding times;
• Blanks;
r' • System monitoring compounds (surrogates);
• Laboratory control samples;
• Matrix spike/matrix spike duplicates; and
E_ Compound identification and quantification.
The results of the data validation are included in the Data Validation Summary (Appendix B). The data
validation found all results to be acceptable and useable for their intended purpose with the no limitations:
:•sY
-i
K:1W PROCES%2273G12Q03AFP_REVO LDOC
