3.2 Groundwater Levels
Groundwater was measured to be approximately 28 feet below ground surface on
December 12, 2001 Water levels decreased approximately 5 5 feet between March and
December, 2001 Water levels have increased approximately 22 feet since 1990 (Table
2)
The direction of groundwater flow in December 2001 was towards the north-northeast, as
illustrated in Figure 3 Variations in the direction of groundwater flow between 1987 and
2001 are presented in Figure 3 Flow directions appear to have shifted from west in 1987
to the east in 1995, and are now generally in the direction of north-northeast to northeast
3.3 Analytical Results
TPH-D groundwater results for samples collected on December 12, 2001 have been
compiled with previous data in Table 3 TPH-D was not reported in samples collected
from all seven wells
Results of analyses for fuel additives and 1,2-dichlorethane are presented in Table 4
Fuel additives, including MTBE, were not reported in any samples The VOC 1,2-
dichloroethane was reported at three locations at concentrations of 14 ug/L (DMW-2),
6 9 ug/L (DMW-5), and 38 ug/L (DMW-6), which is consistent previous results
4.0 CONCLUSIONS
Monitoring was conducted in December 2001 as requested by the PH /E
HD and
RWQCB Monitoring included the analysis of samples for diesel, fuel additives, and
VOCs Analytical results are consistent with historical data, which supports the request
for site closure presented in the Closure Request Report (URS, 2001)
5 K 1840191AFP14Q01_rpt doc
