The purpose of this <br /> engagement is to request site closure with the SJCEHD a"d the Regional Water Quality <br /> Control Board (RWQCB), following the performance of Phase I Environmental Site <br /> Assessments (ESA), Phase II Subsurface Investigations and a Site Characterization for <br /> the above-referenced property. These activities were prompted after the property was <br /> P P Y• P P , P P Y <br /> identified as having contained a former gasoline service startion in the 1950's. <br /> The following is a chronological summary of environmental work performed to date: <br /> o <br /> October 1995, Phase I Environmental Site Assessment is SA) <br /> Building Analytics conducted a Phase I ESA of the subj I�ct property in October, 1995. <br /> The following environmental issues were identified: <br /> • According to historical Sanborn fire insurance maps, a gasoline service station <br /> existed on the subject property during the 1950's. <br /> • During the site reconnaissance, Building Analytics observed an on-going <br /> subsurface investigation at the former Roek Construction facility, adjacent, on the <br /> southeast corner of the intersection of South Wilson Way and Market Street. <br /> • The government records research indicated that a Texaco gasoline service station <br /> currently located adjacent, on the southwest corner of the intersection, is <br /> identified as a leaking underground storage tank (LUST) site. <br /> MAY U 4 1999 <br /> PERMIT <br />
