This usually .
indicates a leak from somewhere in tie tank system's piping. . . You
-should first verify your daily inven ory records and if they are
within acceptable tolerances, the I ss is most likely in the
piping or from a bung at the top of he tank.
Assuming this is the case, there are two. approaches : the'
first being to helium test the top of the tank and to run ' a
hydrostatic test on your supply, line. These items can be
accomplished without digging and with a . minimum of business
disruption. We can provide this service. Our rate iS $70.00 per
hour for men and equipment. The time spent normally does not
.exceed eight hours.
involves ncoverin ' the tank f---.. one
<The other a1 to t-_ive' uncovering
' the
to Cher and testing each line with air pressure. As you
will probably have to uncover at least a portion of the tank to
effect repairs, this alternative has some merit, i .e. , the area of
leaking is exposed and can be repaired. We . do not offer this'
service and suggest someone like Stockton Service Station
Equipment Company. If you choose this alternative, we will worlt
with whomever you select to provide them with the . data and our
estimate of problem areas.
We are hopeful we have been. of service, and please contact use
if you desire additional information or assistance.
I
Sincerely,
It
W. 11.
