(Ground Zero), or behalf of Mr Mike Manser, sub+nits this addendum <br /> tp the apprtwed workplan for interim rernedia.tion of ec7ntamirratod soil and groundwater at the <br /> subject site. <br /> As we discussed during your site visit on March 13, 2000,the vertical limit of contaminated soil at <br /> the, site has been confirmed dwing excavation to be approximately 13 feet below ground surface <br /> (kgs). Excavation activities appear to have successfully removed signifi=tly impacted soil from <br /> the ground surface to a death of 13 feet within our original estimated area of soil contamination. # <br /> gowever, as we discussed, soil contamination appears to extend some distance- outside of our S <br /> original estimated limits on the easWni and southwestern boundaries of our curs-ent excavation. By <br /> oigging a series of exploratory trenches, we have determined that the contamination in these <br /> directions appear to be somewhat lirnitW. Ground Zero estimates that the removal of H <br /> approximately.1,200 additional cubic yards of sail in these areas will 0TWively remove the <br /> majority of contaminated soil at the site (see f-Ore attached), Ground Zero estimates that <br /> approximately 944 cubic yards of this total will be treated is oontaminated soil. The soil will be <br /> segregated, stockpiled, and aerated as previously discussed in the February 15, 2000 interim Soil <br /> and Groundrxrater Rernediation Workplan. <br /> In addition, we anticipate that it will be necessary to remove approximately 24,000 gallons of <br /> groundwater from the excavation in addition to tete 40,000 gallons that was pumped previously. <br /> The pumping of the additional 20,000 gallons «f groundwater will serve the joint purpose of <br /> 11G?:s.Fs�9vsu:re�GRCurymzEtiMnlsrrc�ltean:tr2lin,crimur_,•,�.�, <br /> I <br />
