Your consultant for this site,Mr. David Smith
of IT Corporation, proposed changes to the MRP in the 20 January 2000 Groundwater
Monitoring Report. Staff incorpcated these changes into the draft MRP and transmitted
it to you for review with our 17 February Review of Reports letter. We did not receive
any comments, and in a 21 April telephone conversation with staff, Mr. Smith relayed
that the revised MRP was satisfactory. The MRP is in effect for the second quarterly
monitoring event(April-June) of 2000.
There is one additional change that we felt was appropriate for Cal Farm Supply's
monitoring program that we did not include in the Draft Revised MRP. We determined
that monitoring events may be reduced from quarterly to semi-annually. IT has
completed four consecutive quarters of sampling, and the data show that sampling in the
first and third quarters would identify representative high and low constituent
concentrations. Staff relayed this information in a 2 May 2000 telephone conversation
with Mr. Smith, and he concurred that this is satisfactory.
California Environmental Protection Agency
Rec)cled Paper
A
e
