UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANK CLOSURE REPORT <br /> CAL-FARM SUPPLY STOCKTON FACILITY <br /> APRIL 1994 <br /> KIJ 922540 00 <br /> INTRODUCTION <br /> This Underground Storage Tank Closure Report (Closure Report) for the Cal-Farm Supply <br /> Stockton facility (Site) has been prepared in accordance with Central Valley Regional Water <br /> ' Quality Control Board Reporting requirements (Appendix A to the Tri-Regional Board Staff <br /> Recommendations for Preliminary Investigations and Evaluation of Underground Tank Sites) <br /> This Closure Report pertains to a former 1 ,000 gallon diesel fuel underground storage tank <br /> (UST) and provides a discussion of Site history, existing Site conditions, and a rationale for <br /> Site closure <br /> SITE HISTORY <br /> The Site is currently under the jurisdiction of the United States Bankruptcy Court, Eastern <br /> District of California, Sacramento Division The Bankruptcy Trustee for the Site is Ms <br /> Catherine Whitworth <br /> Site Description <br /> The Cal-Farm Supply Stockton facility is located at 1922 and 2040 West Washington Street <br /> in Stockton, California (APN 145-030-004, and 145-061-001 , respectively) The location of <br /> ' the Site is shown on Figure 1 The Site is comprised of two areas The first area includes a <br /> warehouse and fenced sales yard The second area is an open field located to the south and <br /> to the east of the yard (see Figure 2) The Cal-Farm Supply facility was used for the <br /> temporary storage, sale and distribution of pesticides, fertilizers and agricultural equipment <br /> Until the end of 1993, the warehouse and sales yard had not been in use since 1985 In late <br /> 1993, the warehouse and salesyard were leased for material storage purposes <br /> ' According to information provided by the San Joaquin County Public Health Services <br /> Environmental Health Division (PHSIEHD), there are no municipal drinking water wells located <br /> within 2,000 feet of the Site However, they have found 18 domestic wells in the residential <br /> area of Boggs Tract located to the vicinity of the Site Of these 18 wells, only one well is in <br /> use This well is located at 507 Fresno Avenue and is estimated to be over 2,000 feet away <br /> from the Site The remaining 17 wells were identified by the PHSIEHD as abandoned <br /> Previous Site Investigations <br /> The Bankruptcy Trustee for Cal-Farm Supply retained Kennedy/Jenks Consultants <br /> (Kennedy/Jenks), formerly Kennedy/Jenks/Chilton, to perform surface and subsurface <br /> investigations at the Site Previous sampling conducted at the Site by Roy F Weston, Inc <br /> 92254000 1 922540 00 <br /> 04126!84 2 28pm <br />
