i IL <br /> R <br /> Select soil samples were analyzed for total petroleum hydrocarbons as diesel (TPH-D), TPH <br /> as gasoline (TPH-G), benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene and xylenes (BTEX), MTBE, SVOCs <br /> and 17 California Assessment Manual (CAM) metals. Additionally, selected samples were <br /> submitted to the laboratory and placed on "hold" for potential analysis at a later date. These <br /> samples were ultimately not needed for analysis and were disposed of. <br /> i l <br /> 4.3 Ground Water Collection and Analysis <br /> ii <br /> f <br /> After soil borings - - - F <br /> o s SB O1 SB 02 and SB 03 were completed g p ted to depth, and the water-bearing . <br /> zone had been penetrated, the sample barrel el and inner rods were removed from the borehole <br /> F F q <br /> and one-inch diameter, Schedule 40 polyvinyl chloride (P,,VC) casing with a ten-foot section <br /> ., <br /> of 0.010-inch slotted well screen was then installed in the casing to facilitate the collection of <br /> ground water samples. The drive casing was pulled up approximately ten feet to allow <br /> ground water to flow into the boreholes. To allow for sufficient ground water recharge <br /> (within the well screen) at each location, and to allow for the collection of representative <br /> i <br /> R i <br /> ground water elevations, ground water elevations were allowed qto stabilize a minimum of one <br /> and one-half hours prior to collecting depth to ground water measurements (and prior to <br /> collecting ground water samples). Depth to round water was measured to the nearest 0.10 <br /> foot using an electronic measuring probe. Ground water;samples were collected from within <br /> the PVC casing with a one-inch diameter, stainless-steel Hailer.,F Samples were logged on a <br /> chain-of-custody document (following,the same protocol as described for soil sample <br /> collection), and delivered to Quanterra for analysis.
