GUARANTY. v
i 4
`. FEDERAL BANK F.sa
May 7, 1997
Mike Infurna
San Joaquin County Public Health Services
Environmental Health Division
304 E. Weber Avenue, 3'd Floor
Stockton, California 95202
Re: Invoice#035955, Account #0011724, Facility ID 007499 (Manteca Branch)
Invoice#036172, Account#0011759, Facility ID 007504 (Stockton Corp.)
Dear Mr. Infurna:
We have received the above-referenced invoices and we would appreciate you clarifying a
few items. The initial checks for $234 were submitted for the review of the work plan.
We were under the assumption that this was the only fee required. However, the invoices
reflect additional charges. We would like a clarification to the following:
1. Based on the initial fee of$234 along with the additional charges (Invoice#035955), it
appears that we are being charged for 7.0 hours of review time. This amount of time
to review the report appears excessive.
2. Based on the initial fee of$234 along with the additional charges (Invoice #036172), it
appears that we are being charged for 8.1 hours of review time. This amount of time
to review the report appears excessive.
3. Both invoices reflect a charge of$351.00 (3 hours) for you to conduct a field
inspection. We now understand that you were required to conduct an inspection to
make sure the wells were properly grouted. However, based on travel time from your
office to each location, along with the actual time you were actually on-site, the 3.0
hour time charge for each property appears excessive.
Our Environmental Consultants has recently submitted to you the actual investigation
reports for these two properties. We recognize that it is a requirement that these reports
be submitted to you. However, we are not requesting that you take any formal action at
this time, and therefore, we are not anticipating any review fees associated with the
reports.
Again we would appreciate a written clarification to the above items. Please call me at
(214) 360-2885 if you have any questions.
Since 1 ,
avid Gehrlein
Environmental Analyst
rte ,
8333 Douglas Avenue Dallas, Texas 75225 2141360-3360
-V LaE .ors.c
