4.1.2 Soil Analytical Data
Four borings were advanced to approximately 12 feet bgs. Three soil
samples were collected above first encountered groundwater, which
ranged from approximately 4.5 feet to 6 feet bgs in each boring. Each soil
sample was collected and analyzed for one or more of the constituents
' identified in Section 3.2.3. The following sections as well as Table 3
present soil sampling results.
4.1.2.1 Organochlorine Pesticides
None of the 21 compounds included for analysis were detected in soil
samples collected from the borings.
4.1.2.2 Oganophosporous Compounds
None of the 9 compounds included for organophosporous compounds
analysis were detected in soil samples collected from the borings.
4.1.2.3 Clilorinated Herbicides
None of the 10 compounds included for chlorinated herbicides analysis
were detected in soil samples collected from the borings.
4.1.2.4 Inorganics
Each of the general chemicals (chloride,nit-ate, sulfate, and ammonia as
nitrogen)was detected in 12 soil samples. No PRGs have been established
for these chemicals. The following table presents the range of detected
inorganic chemicals for this investigation in the respective boring location
and depth.
Chemicals Low Concentration Detected High Concentration Detected
mg/kg rnPkg
Chloride <12.2 (SB-7-3.5) 265 (SBSB
-5-1.0)
Nitrate 24.1 (SB-5-0.5) 474 (SB-6-3.5)
Sulfate 31.4 (SB-4-3.0) 423 (SB-6-1.0)
' l Ammonia as Nitrogen 4.8 (SB-4-3.0) 2,570 (SB-6-3.5)
J <=Less than laboratory reporting limit
ERAS 9 LFSCO/M4301J/3/2005
IJ
