Temporary well SB-4 did not yield enough
water to collect a chlorinated herbicide sample and temporary well SB-7
did not have a detection of chlorinated herbicides over the laboratory
reporting limit. The herbicide dalapon was detected in SB-5 and SB-6
below the Region IX Tap Water PRG and PMCL. However, 2-(2Methyl-4-
' chlorophenoxy) propionic acid (MCPP)was detected at 1,100 µg/L in SB-5
and 3,400 gg/L in SB-6. These concentrations are above the Region IX Tap
Water PRG of 36 gg/L. No PMCL or SMCL has been established for
MCPP.
4.2.2.3 Volatile Organic Compounds
'J
Of the 59 compounds included for VOC analysis, toluene at a
' concentration of 1.8 µg/L was the only VOC detected above the
laboratory-reporting limit in reconnaissance groundwater samples. The
concentration of 1.8 gg/L in temporary well SB-4 is below the Region IX
l Tap Water PRG of 720 gg/L and the PMCL of 150 µg/L for toluene.
CRni 11 LESCO/0024301-3/3/2005
IJ
