Wilson Way RO#: 0552
Stockton, CA 95205 Geotracker ID#: T0607700132
The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) has reviewed the State
Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB) Clean Up Fund (CUF) Preliminary 5-year Review
Summary Report dated May 12, 2008. The CUF has recommended that the EHD direct Thrifty
Oil Company to assess remedial ground water technologies and implement active remediation
to achieve Water Quality Objectives in a timely manner. The EHD has evaluated the data
collected to date for the site and concluded that the current soil vapor extraction action at the
site is not adequately reducing the concentrations of the dissolved petroleum in the ground
water. Active ground water remediation is required.
Thrifty is hereby directed to evaluate at least two remedial alternatives for cost-
effectiveness and feasibility and submit a Feasibility Study for active ground water
remediation to the EHD by July 31, 2008. The Study is to include the chosen alternative,
complete with a cost analysis, and is to be available for the EHD review on Geotracker by this
date.
If you have any questions, please contact Michael Infurna, Senior Registered Environmental
Health Specialist, at (209)468-3454.
Sincerely,
Michael J.
