Results indicated soil samples from monitoring wells MW3R and MW4 contained less than
detectable concentrations of TPH in each sample analyzed In well MW6, every sample except
one (MW6-25) had less than detectable TPH concentrations Benzene concentrations in the
samples from these wells were relatively low with a maximum.of 0 210 mg/kg found in sample
MW6-60 Samples from well MW5 contained the highest concentrations detected at the site
Up to 2,100 mg/kg TPH and 66 mg/kg benzene was detected in soil samples from MW5
Soil samples from vadose wells VW1 and VW2 contained a maximum TPH concentration of 12
Mg/kg as found in sample VW2-40 Only one other samplefrom these wells had detectable
TPH, sample VW2-35 contained 2 3 mg/kg TPH The highest benzene concentration found in
VWI was 0 074 as found at 30 feet bgs Samples at 35, 40, and 45 feet had less than detectable
levels . Sample VW I-50 contained only 0 025 mg/kg benzene Well VW2 contained measurable
benzene concentrations in three samples VW2-35, VW2-40, and VW2-50 The highest
concentration was located at 40 feet with 0 026 mg/kg benzene Samples from boring B5 did
not contain detectable TPH or BTEX concentrations These data are summarized in Table 1
The laboratory results including chain of custody and method detection limits are included in
Appendix D
TABLE 1
Summary of Soil Sampling Results .(mg/kg)
Sampled November 18-19, 1992
Sample ID Benzene Toluene Ethylbenzene Xylene TPH
MW3-20 ND ND ND ND ND
MW3-30 ND ND ND ;; ND ND
MW3-40 ND ND ND p ND ND
MW3-45 ND ND ND ND ND
MW3-50 ND ND ND ND ND
MW3-55 ND ND ND ND ND
' Page 5
i
