Adward-Clyde Consultants
Mr. Michael Trujillo
Page 3 {
June 8, 1988
The time required to complete the proposed work is approximately four to
five weeks following receipt of a signed contract or purchase order. We
anticipate that the field activities can begin within one week of
contracting but depends , in part, on driller availability and
permitting. The activities will take three to four days to complete ,
while standard laboratory turnaround time is two weeks . The report will
be prepared and submitted to Thrifty Oil Co. within one week of
receiving the written laboratory results .
The estimated costs for completing the proposed assessment are detailed
in Table 1 . These costs assume that no unusual subsurface conditions
will be encountered during drilling and that the well locations in the
RFP have been cleared for the presence of subsurface piping and
utilities. They also assume that Thrifty Oil Co. will be responsible
for the costs associated with the disposal of contaminated soil or water
should any be generated during this investigation. Other assumptions
include that an average of two soil and one water sample will be
analyzed from each boring/well with one soil sample undergoing the
complete analyses (TPH, BTEX, EDB and Lead) and the other for TPH only,
each water sample will be analyzed for TPH, BTEX and lead, all wells
will be completed to a depth of 50 feet, all well locations are within
areas paved with asphalt and no concrete slabs.
We look forward to working with you on this project , and if you have any
questions or require additional detail , please contact Mr. Martin
Cramer, who will be the engineer managing the assessment.
Sincerely,
1
rin
Sartoanag Principal
E ronmental and Engineering Services
SDS/sst
PRP/8829113-L1
Enclosure
