SCOPE OF WORK <br /> SUBSURFACE SITE ASSESSMENT <br /> SERVICE STATION 4171 <br /> PURPOSE <br /> The purpose of work as outlined is to provide a subsurface <br /> assessment of the presence of petroleum hydrocarbon <br /> contamination in the soil and/or groundwater at the Thrifty <br /> Oil Co. Service Station #171 located at 1250 North Wilson Way <br /> @ Harding Way in Stockton, CA 95200. <br /> MONITORING WELLS <br /> Install 3 monitoring wells in the approximate areas as shown <br /> on the attached site plan. Wells shall extend at least 20 <br /> feet below groundwater or to a maximum of 50 feet depth. <br /> Construction of wells shall utilize 4 : PVC casings and be <br /> installed in accordance with Section 2647 and 2648 of the <br /> State of California Underground Storage Regulations dated <br /> August 1985 and in compliance with local agency requirements <br /> and permits. <br /> SAMPLE COLLECTION <br /> Samples shall be collected at 5, 10, 20, 25, 30, 35 and 40 <br /> foot intervals or at soil-water interface in each boring <br /> advanced for monitoring well installation. Borings shall be <br /> described in detail using the Unified Soil Classification <br /> System. Samples shall be taken and handled per EPA Chain-of- <br /> Custody procedures.
